FtpBTR V2 is a compact DNC unit for Fanuc, Heidenhain and Sinumerik CNC machines. NC programs live on a microSD card right at the machine, and the control reads them from the device over the tape reader (BTR) port, RS-232 or Heidenhain FE/FE1.

The problem it solves

No more paper tape and no laptop on a cable next to older controls. Upload programs to the card over shop Wi-Fi via FTP — the machine and your PC share the same files.

Compatibility

• Heidenhain — FE / FE1 ports: the control requests the directory and files from the card itself.
• Sinumerik and other controls with an RS-232 COM port (INPUT / drip feed) when line settings match.
• Fanuc Series 6 — parallel tape reader (BTR).

How it works

• Copy programs to the microSD card (FAT32) or over FTP.
• Set the mode and line settings in config.ini.
• Connect the cable to the control's port.
• Select a file with the encoder and long-press to send.
